Improvements to the Schuylkill River Trail in Philadelphia, between the Falls Bridge and Ridge Avenue, were recently completed. The one-quarter mile stretch, which was closed for repairs in March, was re-opened in December. Improvements included repaving the surface, and widening it to six to 10 feet. The trail is now safer for cyclists and joggers, as a narrow curve close that brought trail users close to the road has been widened. Read more…
